ASME B16.9 ASTM A234 WPB concentric/eccentric reducing pipe is a carbon steel butt welded pipe fittings used for the transition of different pipe diameters in industrial pipeline systems such as petroleum, chemical, natural gas, and power. Its core advantages are high strength, good weldability, standardized size, and adaptability to high-pressure and high-temperature conditions.
1:Design and manufacturing standard: ASME B16.9 (American standard forged steel butt welded pipe fittings, specifying dimensions, tolerances, bevels, and inspection requirements).
2:Material standard: ASTM A234 WPB (commonly used medium and low temperature carbon steel, carbon manganese steel, tensile strength 415-585 MPa, yield strength ≥ 240 MPa, suitable for working conditions from -29 ℃ to 425 ℃).
3:Connection method: Butt Weld, end groove treatment, welded as a whole with the pipeline, excellent sealing and mechanical properties.
Concentric reducer (CONC)
The centers of the two ends are collinear, with a symmetrical conical transition and uniform circumferential contraction/expansion of the fluid.
Features: Symmetrical structure, easy installation, low pressure loss, and no dead corners for liquid accumulation.
Applicable: Vertical pipelines, general horizontal pipelines, and variable diameter scenarios without drainage/exhaust requirements.
Eccentric reducer (ECC)
The centers of the two ends are offset, with one side straight and the other side tilted, which can avoid airbags/liquid bags.
