Gaskets for flanges
Gaskets for flanges are divided into metal gaskets and non-metal gaskets
Non metallic flat gaskets for flanges (with or without inserts) typically include the following materials:
1: Natural rubber, chloroprene rubber, styrene butadiene rubber, nitrile rubber, EPDM rubber, fluororubber, etc
2: Asbestos rubber sheet and oil resistant asbestos rubber sheet
3: Non asbestos fiber rubber sheet
4: Polytetrafluoroethylene board, expanded polytetrafluoroethylene board or tape, filled modified polytetrafluoroethylene board.
5: Enhanced flexible graphite board
6: High temperature mica composite board
The sealing surface of the gasket includes:
1:FF
2:RF
3:FM/M
4:T/G
When selecting the material and thickness of the gasket, consideration should be given to the operating medium, usage situation, flange sealing surface type, surface roughness, and bolt condition
Metal gaskets typically consist of the following materials:
1: Carbon steel
2: Stainless steel
The filling materials are mostly asbestos rubber and flexible graphite
The commonly used gasket is SPIRAL WOND GASKETS
The SPIRAL WOND GASKETS models include:
1: Basic type, code A, suitable for flange sealing surface: T/G
2: Equipped with inner ring type, code B, suitable for flange sealing surface: FM/M
3: Equipped with a central ring type, code C, suitable for flange sealing surface: RF
4: With inner ring and centering ring type, code D, suitable for flange sealing surface: RF
